Get to know Norway’s rapidly growing space ecosystem

Join us for an exclusive study trip to Northern Norway and gain first-hand insights into one of Europe’s most dynamic and strategically important space regions. The program combines site visits, high-level briefings and participation in leading international space events, offering an outstanding platform for German and Norwegian companies to explore cooperation, business opportunities and innovation potential.

The study trip builds on the successful delegation visit in 2025 and is organized by the German–Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, in close collaboration with key Norwegian partners, including Norwegian Space Cluster and KPB.

Why this trip matters – and why now

Northern Norway is emerging as a cornerstone of Europe’s sovereign space capabilities. With the opening of the Andøya Spaceport as Europe’s first commercial launch base for small satellites, Norway has positioned itself at the forefront of space access, Arctic surveillance, and dual‑use technologies.

Recent test flights by Isar Aerospace from Andøya underline the momentum of the region and its growing relevance for:

  • secure and autonomous access to space,
  • Earth observation and maritime surveillance,
  • defense and dual-use applications,
  • downstream space-enabled services.

At the same time, Bodø has developed into a vibrant new space hub, hosting startups, research institutions, public stakeholders and investors with a strong focus on security, sustainability and Arctic applications.

This study trip gives participants direct access to this ecosystem – at a moment when strategic partnerships are being formed and market opportunities are expanding rapidly.
