The evolving geopolitical environment strains security alliances and impacts the resilience of space capabilities. Satellites support essential functions from communications to military readiness. To achieve European strategic autonomy, space system resilience must increase. Assessing and expanding these systems will guide new political and economic strategies in the space domain.
Germany and Norway both consider space a strategic domain, and its relevance is growing. Reducing vulnerabilities to critical infrastructure is a high priority for both countries and their industries, and they can benefit from close collaboration in developing existing and new space capabilities.
This event seeks to understand what role the German-Norwegian collaboration can play in developing new space technologies and advancing their application.
The goal is to bring German and Norwegian companies together to explore and address the following questions:
- What role can German-Norwegian industrial collaboration play in advancing both countries' strategic objectives in space, and what does industry need to deliver on these goals?
- What are the key weaknesses in the space industry's supply chain, and how can they be addressed to ensure resilience?
