Strategic Partnership for Resilient Critical Infrastructure
In today’s geopolitical environment, resilient critical infrastructure is no longer just a security concern, it is a business imperative. Across Europe, hybrid threats are increasing in both frequency and sophistication, from cyber-attacks on energy networks to damage of subsea energy and communication infrastructure. As economies become more interconnected, disruptions can quickly affect industries, supply chains and markets. From seabed to space, infrastructure resilience is increasingly critical for competitiveness, energy security and growth.
Against this backdrop, the Autumn Assembly seeks to explore how stronger German–Norwegian collaboration may contribute to addressing these evolving threats.
How can critical infrastructure such as ports, data centres, subsea cables, and oil and gas pipelines be protected effectively within a changed security landscape through bilateral collaboration?
How might cooperation between industry, research institutions and policymakers in Germany and Norway strengthen resilience, improve preparedness, and support the development of joint capabilities?
Autumn Assembly 2026
The Assembly will examine how German–Norwegian industry collaboration can enhance the resilience of critical systems and contribute to safeguarding them against physical, digital and climate-related risks across domains: from seabed to space.
In the historic Hanseatic city of Hamburg, we look forward to welcoming members from Germany and Norway, along with stakeholders from politics, to discuss these pressing topics at this year's Autumn Assembly. As the ocean connects our two countries and has provided the setting for a long history of, and a continued space for, collaboration, we invite you to a festive gathering. The event will continue with a site visit to Hamburg Port Authority (HPA).
This year we are also pleased to welcome our new President Dr. Matthias Geiger (Siemens Energy), and our new CEO of German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte.
