DNV is an independent assurance and risk management provider operating in more than 100 countries, safeguarding life, property, and the environment. Ulrike Haugen is Chief Communications Officer and a member of DNV’s Executive Committee with responsibility for Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability. Since 2019 Ulrike was also president of the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce. Ulrike has more than 20 years extensive Communications, Marketing, Sustainability and Business Development experience within international corporations including ABB and REC, the Renewable Energy Corporation, and law firms with positions in Norway, London, Germany and Italy. She has worked in the maritime, energy and legal sectors and holds a Master of Law (University of Bonn) and Master of Business Administration (London). She holds board positions with the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and as Chair of DNV’s Industrial Services Independent Business Unit and was member of the Board of Snøhetta.
As Head of Sustainability Development and Climate, Ellen Skarsgård leads DNV’s work on climate strategy, investment in carbon removal, and sustainability reporting. She is also a Board member of UN Global Compact Norway. She studied Government and Foreign Relations at the University of Wales and has previously worked in Dow Chemical, the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, and Danske Bank.
