The entire sector is undergoing a commercialization trend, becoming increasingly significant for value chains. Activities and developments across the industry have accelerated in recent years and have occurred decentralized. 

In this dynamic and highly international field, it can be challenging to maintain an overview.

A chance for German and Norwegian firms

Although the market is penetrating the previously state-dominated space sector, space activities remain essential for the security and emergency preparedness of nations and societies. Geopolitical developments continue to influence the space industry. 

Due to the high costs and complex technologies, actors in the sector are heavily reliant on international collaboration.

This opens up opportunities for German-Norwegian cooperation. Both countries are technologically advanced and share similar interests. Moreover, Norway's geographical location and topography provide favorable conditions for space activities. Conversely, Germany’s robust industrial base offers essential expertise and critical infrastructure. Both nations stand to benefit significantly from collaboration in both the military and civilian sectors of the space industry.

We are building a network through our relationships with industry and the authorities in both countries. In this way, we are strengthening German-Norwegian cooperation in the Space Industry, pooling expertise and supporing organizations and companies in establishing connections.
